Medicare Supplement plans
Medicare Supplements, also known as Medigap Policies, are private health insurance policies specifically designed to fill the gaps in original Medicare. These Plans will have a monthly premium and cover some or all of the co-pays, deductibles, coinsurance, and excess fees that Medicare does not cover.
Medicare Advantage plans are a joint effort between private insurance companies and Medicare to provide ypur original Medicare benefits (parts A & B), though a private insurance company. The advantage of this joint effort is a more efficient health plan that often additional benefits such as Vision, Dental, and Drug Coverage.
Prescription Drug Part D Coverage
Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D) or PDP are plans that are offered through private insurance companies and help you pay for both brand name and generic drugs. Part D plans are available as a standalone policy or in combination with a Medicare Advantage plan.
